Reparation Thoughts
….By His Wounds we are healed

Dear Donnès of Reparation, Family and Friends,
Spring is such a beautiful time of year in the Northwest. Everywhere you glance, color brightens the view. As soon as one plant or tree finishes its blossoming, another has taken its place. It is a season of hope and promise. Nature has a way of complimenting the Liturgical Season. The weeks of Easter are in completion with the Feast of Pentecost followed by The Most Holy Trinity, then, The Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. We are a people of great spiritual wealth—the kind that time and circumstances cannot cause to dissipate.
Our entry is through the Sacrament of Baptism, fortified by the Sacrament of Reconciliation and the Holy Eucharist and strengthened by Confirmation. These are treasures of our faith freely given by Christ Himself. Our part is to use our free will to live according to the precepts and commandments, frequent the Sacraments and follow Jesus Christ as the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church teaches and guides us. It was the Love of God through His Son, Jesus, coming to earth to bring us this great gift and the promise of salvation for those who embrace it, cherish it and live it!
These are important times for this Reparation Community beginning with Pentecost. Our Founding Sisters honored this Feast because it is our Foundational Day. This is when we acknowledge all the events of this call to religious life. We celebrate in Community as a Community. Consequently, we Sisters renew our vows on this feast and the Donnès who are present renew their commitment to strive to live the charism of reparation according to their own state in life and physical ability. We could not accomplish the works at hand without their spiritual and natural support. This is vital for us and to the Church that we serve.
We are asking for your prayerful support. One need only perceive what is happening in the world today to understand the challenge for individuals to remain fortified and strong in their commitment to God in daily life. This is our call to make reparation, freely and without reserve for the sins of humankind, especially those against the Sacred Wounds of Jesus. Please pray with us on this behalf. Pray, also, that others will be given the vocation to join this army of work, faithfulness, sacrifice and prayer.
May the power of the Holy Spirit be renewed in your life. May you be strengthened through His sevenfold gifts and enjoy the fruits that flow from them. Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and kindle in them the fire of Your love. Send forth Your Spirit and they shall be created and You shall renew the face of the earth!
