PRAYER AFTER COMMUNION
My God, if I am to die today, or suddenly at any time,
I wish to receive this Communion as my Viaticum.
I desire that my last food may be the Body and Blood
of my Savior and Redeemer;
My last words "Jesus, Mary, Joseph";
My last affection an act of pure love of God
and of perfect contrition for my sins; my last consolation,
to die in Thy holy grace and in Thy holy love. Amen

Anima Christi
Soul of Christ, sanctify me.
Body of Christ, save me.
Blood of Christ, inebriate me.
Water from the side of Christ, wash me.
Passion of Christ, strengthen me.
O good Jesus, hear me.
Within Thy Wounds, hide me.
Permit me not to be separated from Thee.
From the malignant enemy, defend me.
At the hour of my death, call me
and bid me come to Thee,
that with Thy saints I may praise Thee
forever and ever. Amen.

Frequent the Way of the Cross often during Lent. It will help you to
experience the Passion of Christ more intimately.
It will also open understanding to reparation for humankind. Your own
burdens and crosses will have greater perspective and value. In this experience,
you will be encouraged to advance in virtue, and treasure the gift of life.
"We adore You, O Christ, and we praise You. Because by Your holy Cross
You have redeemed the world!"

Dearest Jesus,
by the piercing wounds in Your holy hands,
give me faith and fortitude.
By the blessed wound in Your sacred side,
give me purity and charity.
By the sweet wounds in Your sacred feet,
give me, above all, meekness and humility.
Amen.
